Hike to the summit of Veleta in Sierra Nevada National Park. Follow our mountain guide on a 9-mile (14 kilometer) hike in the south of Spain, in Granada. Once at the top, you can relax with mesmerizing views over stunningly attractive mountain peaks on three sides, and Granada and the Mediterranean on one side. On a clear day, you can actually see all the way to Africa.

Food and drinks.

The trailhead starts at Hoya de la Mora, at an altitude of 2500 meters. We first ascend Los Machos from the Corral de Veleta and then Veleta itself, returning down the north ridge. The best time of the year for walking this peak is in August. You can easily start your trek with shorts and a t-shirt on a warm day, but you must have warmer layers in your backpack to put on if needed. Our local guide will share his knowledge about the park, its flora and fauna, as well as the area’s local history and wildlife. We only use the best qualified and experienced professional guides
