After a brief look into the cave entrance, we continue along the hills above the river, then past fields of wheat, numerous olive trees and a vineyard. From here we start to gain altitude on our way back. There is a reasonable size natural pool in the river where only the brave wild swimmers take a dip as the water from the cave is very cold. The best times are between June and September, particularly during the summer months. However, if the heat stretches until October or November, you can enjoy this piece of paradise with a spring-like Mediterranean climate until autumn.
